There are a thousand reasons students might fall through the cracks of a traditional classroom. All good teachers strive to reach every child, but unfortunately, there is no magical one-size-fits-all approach to learning.  As a middle school teacher, my biggest frustration was not having enough hours in the day to spend one-on-one with the students who needed it. Students thrive best with a study plan customized to fit their needs, interests, and learning styles. My time in the classroom inspired me to start Top Notch Tutoring. I’m on a mission to ensure each student gets the individual attention and unique approach they need to succeed.

I am a licensed 6-12 English teacher and a private tutor of ten years. I'm also TESOL-certified, with extensive experience working with non-native English speakers. While my certification is in middle to high school, I’ve helped a wide range of students over the years, from Kindergarteners just beginning to grasp phonics, to university students working toward PhDs, to senior citizens picking up English as a second language. It’s never too early or late to embrace a love of language or find academic success!
